High profile supporters are really helpful for any campaigning organisation but some go a lot further than just adding their name or even digging into their pockets.
Last week, a small group of us went to see Anita and showed her and her husband Gordon the unsubscribe campaign. To say that she was supportive is a huge understatement, her enthusiasm and commitment really lifted us all.
A large number of people round the offices at Amnesty had worked with Anita at one time or another on various Amnesty campaigns and actions and everyone is shocked and saddened. Our sympathies go to her family at this time and we are going to redouble our efforts to unsubscribe the nation from human rights abuses.
